Rant III: The Gas Tax Holiday, Clinton, Democrats, Republicans,....you know, everything that is wrong with America.
Speaking of the delusional Hillary Clinton, she needs to quit. She is done. She needs to win over 75% of all of the rest of the delegates....not going to happen. Especially with her super delegates leaving her and moving to the Obama Camp. She is not going to win. All she is doing is splitting the democratic party. Don't believe that is so? Hillary Clinton Supporters are saying that if Obama gets the nomination, they will vote John McCain or not vote at all. That's Politics! It has nothing to do with the party or the values, you vote for a face and a name. Hillary needs to just quit.
Democrats as a whole are going to ruin the country, financially and morally. When I speak of the nation's morality I do not mean it in the same way neo-cons do. I am not speaking of the abortion or gay marriage. I am speaking of breaking the laws set in place by the constitution. I am going to admit that Democratic Socialism is a good form of government....for certain nations. Nations whose laws will allow it. Our laws do not, so we cannot have it....or we should not. But, slowly, that is what democrats are pushing for. Plus, do you realize how much that would cost? If you think Bush turning his millions of dollar surplus into a 3.5 trillion dollar deficit is bad, wait till you see the cost of a socialist government!! Taxes would have to sky rocket.
But, the Democratic Party is not the only bad party. The Republican party has lost its way. I just do not understand Republicans anymore. They even deny the economics of their hero Republican, Reagan. Economics that could turn our economy around. They do not limit the government anymore, they are enlarging the government. They do this, yet continue to lower taxes. This is a course heading straight for disaster. The Neo-cons in the Republican Party need to get some brains.
I get so mad when I look at the state of politics in America. The two party system just isn't working. Bring in a third.

The LIbertarian Party of IL
Ugh....It makes me so mad what is happening to that party. The big government, the out of control spending, the regulation. But I guess the Liberals aren't any better. They are champions of Big government, out of control spending, and more regulation just as much as (IF NOT WORSE!). The real difference between the Democrats and the republicans these days are these three issues: Gay Marriage, Abortion, and the War (and even there many from the opposite party swing to the other side's opinion.
Anyway, If you live in Illinois and are interested in the Libertarian Party, I suggest visiting their site: http://www.il.lp.org/. And also visit the official Libertarian site: http://www.lp.org. Here is the deal, if you are a libertarian or lean toward a libertarian philosophy then you should help us out. We need a lot more signatures on our petitions in order for a libertarian candidate to run for office (We can give thanks to the two big parties who are in it for the power and nothing else). So, get on the websites I listed, get petitions and get out there and get them signed.
IF you are looking for a change. A party with the same principles as the founding fathers and conservative principles, then look into the Libertarian Party.

Iowa Screwed itself over...
1. Huckabee signed sales tax hike in 1996;
2. Huckabee supported internet sales tax in 2001;
3. Huckabee opposed repeal of a sales tax on groceries and medicine in 2002;
4. Huckabee signed tax increases on gasoline (1999) and cigarettes (2003);
5. Huckabee signed into law a $5.25 per day bed tax on private nursing home patients in 2001;
6. Huckabee proposed sales tax increase in 2002;
7. Huckabee opposed congressional measure to ban internet taxes in 2003;
8. Huckabee allowed 17% sales tax increase to become law in 2004;
9. Huckabee, by the end of his tenure, was responsible for a 37% higher sales tax in Arkansas, 16% higher motor fuel taxes, and 103% higher cigarette taxes;
10. Huckabee refused to take the pledge to not raise taxes if elected President in 2007;
11. Huckabee is responsible for spending increases of 65.3% from 1996 to 2004;
12. Huckabee is responsible for a 20% increase in the number of state government workers;
13. Huckabee increased and expanded ARKids First which is a massive government program that provides 'free' (i.e. socialized) health coverage for thousands;
14. Huckabee supported the 2003 Republican-initiated (sadly) Medicare prescription drug plan which is a massive and unfunded liability shouldered by us taxpayers. It is the largest new government entitlement program since LBJ;
15. Huckabee raised the minimum wage in April 2006 from $5.15 to $6.25 an hour and encouraged Congress to take the same thereby hurting business and the free market;
16. Huckabee supports 'price-gouging' legislation which is just a veiled threat against free enterprise and the free market;
17. Huckabee called No Child Left Behind "the greatest education reform effort by the federal government in my lifetime," even though it was bloated and stripped schools of local control and increased federal spending on education by 48% without any real reform;
18. Huckabee signed into law Arkansas's first statewide smoking ban against private property establishments. This was a gross violation of private property rights and a huge act of big/nanny government;
19. Huckabee has banned soda from Arkansas public schools and is promoting the big/nanny government agenda of regulating what we eat and drink;
Bottom Line: Governor Mike Huckabee is no conservative and he is no heir to the Goldwater/Reagan legacy of LIMITED GOVERNMENT and INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY AND FREEDOM. Mike Huckabee is a big government tax-and- spender who can't be trusted to uphold the Reagan legacy if elected President. The rest of the states CAN and NEED to stop him.

Rant:Democrats, King George, Dr. Ron Paul, Primaries, Liberty...Just A little Of Everything!
The First issue I want to rant about is democrats. Promises, Promises, Promises!! In the 2006 congressional election Democrats made the promise to set a timetable to pull out of Iraq. I have never considered myself a democrat, but I was excited about that. But, they haven't even started yet! When the President threatens his veto Pen, the Dems back down! They are being little babies and they need to get over it and say now is the time to pull out (though understanding the mistake 4 years ago would have been the perfect time). I cannot say they I, myself, have never been fooled by Bush. He ran on a foriegn policy of non-intervention. His lies fooled me about the WMD in Iraq. So, I have been fooled by his lies. But I have come to my senses. I changed from a republican view point to a Libertarian view point a few years back. But Ron Paul has Shown me the TRUE republican policys. So, I now consider myself an Old-school True Republican. That Was fro those who were wondering. Now, let's get back on topic. George has they democrats running scared to the point that I think he can get them to remove the limit of times you can run for office. The Democrats need to fulfill thier promises and stand up to the President.
Speaking of the President, Let's talk abotu King George a little bit. His empire has grown substancially since he took office in 2000. He has shed American blood inorder to maintian that empire. Isn't it grand? We went from a beautiful Republic to an Empire bent on world domination. Who can we think for that? King George, of Course! As long as he has his oil, America will be alright, Right? No? Really? America doesn't need George Bush to get cheap oil to make more money off us? Seriously? So, all of that blood that has been shed in Iraq was shed based on lies that won't even help us? wow. Honestly, people wanted to impeach Clinton for a lot less then what His Majesty has done. Clinton lied about a private, personal matter. George Bush lied abotu a matter that has eventually caused us a lot of freedoms we took for granted. That is another thing worth impeachment. This so called patriot act and the national ID card act take away too many of our God Given Rights! Bush needs to go.There is only ONE candidate willing to speak about (and act on!) the issues that make George Bush a horrible president and the Neo-conservatives a horrible political philosophy. And, of Course, if You have read my other posts you will know who I am talking about. I am talking about Ron Paul. He is the only candidate worth the vote. I love his views. He is the Thomas Jefferson of our time.
We are dealing with problems that the founding fathers would never have dreamed of. Problems that have risen from us falling away from the Constitution. Illeagal wars, Illeagal wiretapping, International Organizations, and many other issues have all occured due to people getting more power than the constitution gives them. Wheather it is the President or a body of foriegn leaders that shouldn't even be involved in out affairs. Ron Paul has the solution. The solution is right under our noses and has been for 200 years and yet we ignore it: Listen to the Constitution. The Founding fathers weren't stupid. They wrote a constitution that expands through time. They wrote and created a law that still applies today, but they also wrote a way to transform it just incase it ever did start need revision or needed to become clear in parts. The Founding Fathers were geniuses, so why can't we just listen to them? That is what Ron Paul wants us to do. I will get to Liberties later in this rant, so I am cutting this off now, but if You care about our Country and where it is Heading then please Vote For Ron Paul in 2008.
The Elections are comming up. In about six weeks we will know what republican candidate and what Democratic candidate will be running. The Primaries are sneaking up on us. I believe the first primaries are going to be held in New Hampshire January 8. So, they are here. they start in only a few days. We need to be ready and registered. Check your states times to see when you need to be registered and if you need to be registered to the Republican party to vote for Ron Paul!
So, On to liberties. The constitution was created, not to limit us, but to limit the government. Through reasoning and using your intelect and logic, we can confim, then, that the federal government was not to limit us. That power is given to the States, but the states are not allowed to take away the liberties that the constitution grants us. So, from this we can understand why our government is doing a terrible job. The FBA is suppose to inforce laws that restric us that were given to use by the federal government. That is why I think the FBI needs to go. Or at most they need to inforce the laws that restrict the federal government and the state governments. When the founding fathers were writing the constitution, how many of them do you think said, "I sure hope that boose and other drugs are made illeagal even though they harm no one but the user and when used in a good way can be a nice experience." I would bet money that none of them said that, so the first liberty I want to talk about is our liberties to use the substances we want to. in the 20s the federal government outlawed boose, because it was harmful to each individual. But what happened? Alcohol started funding gangs. People were soon being arrested for moonshing. People started getting angry at the government. So, really what was the outcome? Gangs got money, prisons started over crowding and the government over stepped its boundries. The same thing is happening. Look at pot! Pot is less harmful to us then alcohol is, it is not addictive and yet it is illeagal and alcohol is not. Do you not see the stupididy in that alone? Now let us look at the effects the prohibition is having: The same as teh effects from the prohibition of alcohol. Gangs and terrorists are being funded, Prisons are overcrowding and the government has, once again, over stepped its boundries. The federal government needs to back off and the state governments need to look at thier priorities. there are several other issues they need to look at as well: Prostitution, gun control, automobile restirctions, etc.
Over all, I am happy that Ron Paul is here to help us in the correct direction

People Still Support the War?
"I'm the commander -- see, I don't need to explain -- I do not need to explain why I say things. That's the interesting thing about being president." - George Bush
"F*ck Saddam. We're taking him out." --George Bush to three U.S. senators in March 2002, one year before the Iraq invasion, as quoted by Time magazine
Oh, no, we're not going to have any casualties." --George Bush discussing the Iraq war with Christian Coalition founder Pat Robertson in 2003, as quoted by Robertson
This foreign policy stuff is a little frustrating." --George Bush as quoted by the New York Daily News
The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him." --Washington, D.C., Sept. 13, 2001
Yet.....
"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority." --Washington, D.C., March 13, 2002
How can anyone think that a war that was started and is run by a president that has not clue what he is doing or, apparently, what he wants. FIRST OFF he said the whole reason he was going into Iraq was because they were 100% positive that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction (WMD). And in fact, at one point Bush claimed that we had found WMD! "We found the weapons of mass destruction. We found biological laboratories ... And we'll find more weapons as time goes on. But for those who say we haven't found the banned manufacturing devices or banned weapons, they're wrong, we found them." --Washington, D.C., May 30, 2003 How can a president that lies to us lead us in a war? And how can anyone who supports a war of lies be our next leader ( Cough Cough most of the Conservative candidates Cough cough)?
"I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound largemouth bass in my lake." --on his best moment in office, interview with the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag, May 7, 2006

The Republican Debate Part 1
But that was not the worse part of the debate. Oh no, it gets worse. The pure stupidity of John McCain is what got me. How can someone that ignorant of the world even think he can be our president? If he does not know the difference between non-intervention and isolationism/appeasement, I pray for him. How did he even become a senator? Ok, I apologize for ranting BEFORE I explained the situation. John McCain was asked a question about income tax versus fair tax. Now, get that! He was asked about taxing and NOT Iraq or a foreign policy. And he went on a rant about Ron Paul's foreign policy. McCain said, and I quote, "We allowed Hitler to come to power with that kind of attitude of Isolationism and appeasement." What kind of isolation and appeasement? Ron Paul has not policy of Isolation and appeasement. Ron Paul has a policy of non-intervention. There IS a HUGE difference. Just one big difference is that a policy of non-intervention, like what Ron Paul wants, does not wall us from the outside world like the policy of isolationism. Ron Paul still wants a military, still wants free trade, still wants people to come into our country legally...he is in NO WAY an isolationist. And appeasement? When has Ron Paul ever said "Let's let them have what they want"? Never! I have watched many interviews and such with Ron Paul. Ron Paul is not a pud. He does not think war is a big no-no, but a last resort. That in no way makes him an isolationist or a fan of appeasement! That is the only rational and reasonable stance with foreign policy.
I was excited to see so many Ron Paul supporters out there!
Don't get me wrong, I am not so close minded that I waved off everything that I agreed with that came from other candidates. For example, I thought Huckabee had a good idea when it came to the children of Illegal immigrants. He said that we should not punish the children for what the parents had done. We should help the child who has spent his or her entire childhood in American school systems become legal and help them move on to higher education. He suggested we let them have the same scholarships that citizens get. Not more, but also not less. The same. But I did disagree with where Huckabee stands on fair tax. Yes, get rid of the IRS, but if we cut our spending and reduce the size and role of the government, we won't need a tax to replace the income tax! The only tax we would have to worry about would be to the state that we live in. Unnecessary taxes is what the founding fathers fought against! That was what sparked the Revolutionary War!
